Since the early morning hours today, a large-scale police operation of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Attica Security, is underway to arrest the people involved in the fatal injury with a naval flare of the unfortunate police officer, on December 7, 2023, outside the indoor gym of Rentis, where a Volleyball match was taking place.
So far, dozens of people have been arrested and a large number of searches have been carried out in homes and vehicles, while various items of evidence have been seized.
According to reports, around 60 people have already been arrested and the operation is ongoing. According to information, the case file that has been filed has more than 150 defendants. The arrests have been made not with warrants but in the context of the autoforo, since the criminal organization charge is permanent.
At least 20-30 people are the core of those involved, of the organizers that night as well as in another 10 episodes in stadiums like Volos, but also in fights with other fans.
