A Greek and a foreigner were arrested in the prefecture Lasithiou for drug-related offences, while the police seized more than 10.5 kilograms of cannabis and a sum of money derived from transactions and trafficking.

In particular, Security police officers, using information, organized a coordinated operation, during which searches were carried out in premises, houses and a vehicle used by the two arrested in areas of the Municipality Saint Nicola’s and Ierapetra.

During the searches, ten kilos were found and confiscated 586 grams of cannabis, 13.5 grams of cocaine, €23,770 and £50 in proceeds from illegal activities, four scales, three mobile phones, nylon packaging, an air-tight sealing device and a replica revolver. Also, an ICHE car was confiscated as a means of committing criminal acts. The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Ierapetra Security Department.
