Xanthi welcomes the Olympic Flame today.
The Municipality of Xanthi will hold a Touching Ceremony at Democracy Square, at 1:13 p.m., where the Olympic Flame is expected to arrive.
This will be followed by the arrival of a delegation of officials from the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Olympic anthem, the National Anthem of France and Greece will be played, while at the same time the corresponding flags will be raised.
At 13:45, the Olympic Flame will start its journey to Komotini.
