Funeral of former King Constantine: In Greece, the royal family of Spain

The queen mother of Spain, Sophia, sister of the late King Constantine, has been in Athens for days

The funeral of the former King Constantine will be attended by both King Philip VI and his wife Letitia and the self-exiled King Juan Carlos I.

Spanish palaces have confirmed that King Philip and his wife will travel to Greece for the funeral on Monday.

According to HOLA, Queen Mother Sofia, sister of the deceased, has been in Athens for days, however, according to information, her two daughters, Princesses Elena and Christina of Spain, will be arriving in the Greek capital in the next few hours.

At the funeral, Juan Carlos, honorary king of Spain who has been living in self-exile in Abu Dhabi for the last few years, will also be present.

The two families, as the report of the Spanish magazine summarizes, spent their summers together for years at the “Marivent” palace and the cousins had developed close ties.
