King Charles has not yet revealed the type of cancer he is suffering from, but admitted it was not prostate cancer, which is one of the most treatable forms of the disease.
No one has made any official announcements about his progress, but sources say he is responding well to treatment.
In the background, King Charles’s aides are regularly reviewing copies of a several hundred page document outlining his funeral plan, called Operation Menai Bridge.
“Plans are “dusted off” and updated constantly. It’s nothing less than you’d expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer,” another source told the Daily Beast.
The highly detailed document was created the day after Queen Elizabeth’s burial on September 8, 2022, the day Charles took over the throne.
Military officials confirmed at Daily Beast that Operation Menai Bridge is regularly updated, but they emphasized that this is a formal procedurewhich should not be translated otherwise.
All of the royals included in the funeral shot have code words based on bridges, such as Queen Elizabeth’s famous “Operation London Bridge” shot.
The funeral design for King Charles, formerly Prince of Wales, is named after the suspension bridge that connects the Isle of Anglesey to the Welsh mainland.
