On Thursday’s MasterChef, a great cooking duel unfolded between Nikos Kypsidis and the Christina Christofi who reached the final of this year’s Silver Week.
Christina and Nikos were asked to copy a demanding dish with many preparations by Michelin-starred chef Pavlos Kyriakis. The winner of the challenge would become the owner of the Silver prize and become… richer by 20,000 euros.

After the demanding efforts of the two children, the judges and their guest tasted the two dishes to arrive at the score. Then, as is now customary in MasterChef, everyone faced the finalists to announce the result of this crucial test.
“Christina wins the biggest prize in the history of Silver Week for MasterChef” Sotiris Kontizas announced, with the crowd erupting in shouts and applause.
“Do not believe. I am very happy. I am very excited. I’m in shock, is it really happening or is it a joke?” said Cypria, dedicating her victory to her nieces. “I feel like it’s a reward for my efforts. Not only the money, just being the winner of the Silver award” admitted, with a smile, Christina Christofi to the camera of the competition on Thursday night.
“Of course I would like to win but honestly I was happy for Christina” confessed, among others, Nikos Kypsidis to the MasterChef camera about his defeat.
For the record, Christina’s effort collected 36 points, while her opponent’s 32.
