The process that highlighted the second finalist of Silver Week began with Lefteris, Costas, Christos and Christina Christofis dividing into two groups and making a dish with whatever ingredients they wanted, in 45 minutes.
Lefteris and Kostas “got bogged down” in their many ideas (characteristically, they came out of the pantry with 3 baskets), with Christina and Christos agreeing very quickly and easily on the dish that needed ingredients, which went into one basket.
After the judges praised both attempts, they gave the qualification to Christina and Christos who in the second phase became rivals, in a copy dish that did not include a recipe.
Yannis K. commented “we all, whether we like it or not, believe that Christina will win. Regardless of what they say in front of the camera and what they say behind the camera – because in front of the camera they may say that the coup will happen. However, we all talk about how they are an easy pair and we would all like – if we were down – to have Christos as our last opponent».
As Panos Ioannidis said “both dishes were tasty, there was no extreme error, so we were trying to see which one is closer to the original».
Leonidas Koutsopoulos added that “we have to emphasize the following: it is very possible to have favorites and underdogs, but in this particular test after testing we concluded that we had a culinary ambivalent battle. Both dishes had correct techniques and nice textures. If there was no specific request, we would eat them both very happily».
Christina finally got closer to the original, so she will face Nikos in the final of Silver Week, with a background of 20,000 euros and a place in the 9th of this year’s competition.
