THE Alexis Kougias hosted in Elena Papavasiliou and on her show, “EQ“, on the evening of Wednesday 24/4.

The well-known criminologist, among other things, talked about his great love, football, how he experienced fatherhood and the strength he had to draw after his recent health adventure.

“I took a long time to become a father because I had some difficulties in my life. I got married early at 32 the first time, but my partner at the time was killed. He was my childhood crush. He passed away in an accident a month after the wedding. I married Evi at 52 and became a father at 53,” said Alexis Kougias initially.

“When my son was born I was in labor. When I saw him for the first time I felt something incredible. I remember that day I started on foot from Marousi and arrived at Penteli. When my daughter was born I felt the same again, but I also felt that I have a huge responsibility”, added Alexis Kougias.

“I got divorced when my children were 3 and 2 years old. I remember the day I told them that we would no longer sleep together and wake up together, it was a very difficult day. I didn’t know how to explain it and I didn’t know if their mother would explain it properly. I did not want to transfer my personal problems with my ex-wife to my children.

Even today I have never discussed the divorce with my children. I have never spoken ill of their mother, even though we have been through countless trials. My ex-wife gave 25% to five lawyers to take our children’s property. I beat those courts and all is well. Now I only dream of taking my daughter-in-law to the church”, revealed Alexis Kougias.

“With my first money from football, a lot of money, I bought a motorcycle and unfortunately I broke it. If you are from St. Petersburg, you will get a motorcycle. So I took a motorbike and went to marry the groom in Loutraki, where I played ball, and in Xylokastro, which was Mykonos at the time. There were no ships and planes to Mykonos at that time.”

The center of secular Athens for the summers was Loutraki which was nearby and Xylokastro which was further away. So I took the machine, beautiful boy and made the groom with the machine. A trucker fell asleep, went into the opposite stream and I will even say the following. The one who saved me, as you told me, was a relative of yours,” said Alexis Kougias, referring to Elena Papavasiliou.

“Yes, my grandfather’s brother. My uncle” answered the presenter, visibly moved.

“He saved me, 19 months in KAT. 2nd Clinic of the KAT, ward of 20 people with amputated arms, legs, eyes, whatever. That’s why I sometimes say that what happened to me developed the personality of Kuya, who is not an ordinary lawyer,” he added.

Finally, Alexis Kougias wanted to send a message about cancer, as he himself has been through an adventure with his health.

“Cancer is part of life and it is curable. If you manage it right, you might be saved. Things aren’t like they used to be, especially if you catch on. You have to consider this as part of your life. Cancer is treatable”, concluded Alexis Kougias.
