The phenomenon will peak at 2:49 with the brightness at its maximum and is expected to paint the sky with its pink colors.

How the “Pink Full Moon” Got Its Name

This particular full moon was known to Native Americans as the “Pink Moon” because signaled the appearance of a plant with pink flowersone of the first of spring.

It is noted that the moon tonight will be slightly larger and brighter than usual, but it will certainly not be… pink in color.
