In yesterday’s episode (23/4) of Survivor, viewers watched the voluntary departure of Savvas Gentsoglou. The former footballer, who had wowed the TV audience and was considered one of the favourites, withdrew due to a hand injury.
As it became known, the doctors decided that the wound he had would not heal immediately and so the athlete made the decision to withdraw. Among other things, the footballer said during his retirement: “I gave a lot of time to my hand and in general to the injury to heal. Unfortunately he did not and the situation is getting worse. The fracture has set, but I have a severed ligament that I hadn’t seen. It’s a bit rare the doctor told me and will probably require surgery. So that was it. I will leave. I have a strange feeling. On the one hand I am happy to return to the little one and to my life, on the other hand I am leaving something very beautiful behind. What I’m left with are good times and a bitterness about how things turned out this way. I will miss the children very much.”
The amount collected
He may not have managed to win, but Savvas Gentsoglou managed to collect, during his stay on the SKAI survival reality show, a very good amount. Based on what had been announced, the former football player was getting 9,000 euros the week. A total of 15 weeks were left, so the now-former Survivor player collected 135,000 euros.
