Eurydiki Valavani: “I don’t want to make the same “mistakes” with my new relationship. Now I have learned and I want to…”

Eurydiki Valavani was invited to the show, The 2Night Show, and she talked about Survivor, journalism and her personal life.

“I went to Survivor in 2017 and I stayed for six months, I was the last woman. What did I want and I went to All Star? Now for this particular program I think I have grown up. There have been nice moments but also uncomfortable ones. As for the personal ones they say if I’m divorced, to get married, if I’m pregnant. I don’t let them touch me anymore. If he didn’t deal with me, I would mind. I would move on with my life but why did I? I got into the game and recognition came to me. My business has changed and my financial situation obviously.

I haven’t been involved in sports journalism in those seven years. I haven’t put my full stop. However, I think that 13-14 years in sports reporting I was one of the lucky ones who did a lot of things. I’m full! I’m a tomboy, I wasn’t flirted with. I remain a bit of a tomboy at heart too. I can understand men but not always.

I don’t want to make the same “mistakes” with my new relationship. Now growing up I have learned and want to protect my personal life. That doesn’t mean I won’t post on social media or hold my partner’s hand. He doesn’t like my partner’s recognition. He doesn’t tell me but I understand, I’m in the same phase too so perfect.

I had the wedding in mind earlier. Now I’ve reached an age where I say either it will or it won’t. I wanted to get married since I was 25, but many years passed.

The phone had rung for the TV but I consciously decided to pause to catch up with me. I spent time with me, with my family, with my friends. I took trips I couldn’t. I’ve been to Hawaii twice, surfed and the waves are exactly what they sound like. I like to go to destinations that have summer and sea.”
