It has been 109 years since the mass crime of genocide of the Armenian people was committed when 1.5 million Armenian Christians were martyred and tortured by the Ottomans and Young Turks in 1915. It was those genocidal practices that set the standards for newer and modern crimes against peoples.

Modern Turkey, which has not yet apologized for its Ottoman past, continues its policies of intimidation, murdering, displacing and replacing populations from Asia Minor, the Pontus, northern occupied Cyprus and from the Kurdish areas in Afrin, NW Syria.

The Democratic Patriotic Movement NIKI, expressing the feelings of the Greek people, honors the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and expresses its deepest respect to the fraternal people of Armenia who are still experiencing violence and refugees in the area of Artsakh.

Eternal honor and memory for the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
