A very special and sacred moment was experienced yesterday by Mary Katrantzou and her husband Marios Politis. The internationally renowned fashion designer and the distinguished Neurology professor baptized their only son in the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos in Spetses.
The novice was named Michalis, while his godparents were four: Pavlos with his wife Marie Sandal, Eugenia Niarchou and jewelry designer Sabine Getty.

The baptism took place in a close family circle as both Mary Katrantzou and her husband Marios Politis wish to keep their personal lives out of the public eye, something they have succeeded in doing. The couple lives permanently in London, however for this holy day they chose Greece, specifically the Argosaronic island, where a year ago they exchanged vows of eternal loyalty and love.
Among the glamorous guests were Vicky Kaya with Ilias Krassa and their two children, Marietta Chrousala and Leon Patitsas with their three children, as well as the Minister of Education Niki Kerameos.
