The message that “nothing will go unanswered” was sent by Yiannis Kallianos after the uproar that has erupted with the death of his father.

“I will become their nightmare” explained Yannis Kallianos in his new statements about the death of his father, speaking to ANT1 and to the camera of the show “To Proino”.

“Everything will take its course, nothing will be left unanswered. Those who took my father’s case lightly will be held accountable. The doctors will be asked to explain,” he said.

“I don’t mess with anyone Adonis Georgiadis”, he emphasized about the Minister of Health and noted that both Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the leader of the official opposition Stefanos Kasselakis called him.

What does the professor of vascular surgery answer?

At the same time, the professor of vascular surgery, to whom Yiannis Kallianos has personally referred, responds to the accusations, through the attorneys of Michalis Dimitrakopoulos and Yiannis Paparistidis.

He emphasizes that the doctors tried to deal with the multiple health problems faced by the father of Yiannis Kallianos and that it would be a mistake to intubate the patient, as extubation would be impossible.

In more detail, his statement is as follows:

“Our principal I.K., Professor of Vascular Surgery, expresses his sincere regret for the death of Dimitrios Kallianos. All the doctors tried to deal with the multiple health problems that the deceased had, as their medical duty dictates and as they work for all patients without exception.

The complexity of the deceased’s health problems required the collaboration of a cardiologist, a pulmonologist, a nephrologist, an infectious disease specialist and an intensivist. The scientific opinion of all of the above was that any intubation of the patient, without an absolute indication, would constitute an incorrect medical procedure, as extubation would be practically impossible.

The admission of patients to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is governed by strict medical rules, which apply to all people, and the relevant decision is made by all attending physicians. Admission to M.E.Th. of a non-intubated patient, who did not meet the medical conditions and at the same time was a relative of a Member of Parliament, would constitute impermissible discriminatory treatment. During April 23, the patient worsened and it was decided to admit him to the ICU. at 18.30, after his intubation preceded it. Unfortunately, his very poor health did not allow him to avoid the fatal accident.”
