Fear and terror have become these cars

THE study showed that those who drive conventional technology cars they are especially wary in the event that they encounter one autonomous vehicle. To such an extent that they are afraid of a possible conflict!

Her study AAA (American Automobile Association) reveals that the 66% of respondents expressed fears towards the autonomous carsa marked increase from 55% in 2022.

Although there was a slight decrease from the previous year’s rate it was 68%it remains clear that public trust in autonomous vehicles is waning.

On the contrary, just 9% of respondents declared confidence in autonomous vehicles, while the 25% remained uncertain for their reliability. These rates remain relatively flat from 2023, showing little improvement over the previous year.

Interestingly, while the circulation of fully autonomous vehicles can cause fear, respondents showed more receptive towards certain assistive technologies driver’s.

More than half of the participants expressed interest in features such as automatic braking, automatic reverse braking and lane keeping assist.

However, enthusiasm waned for more advanced features such as active driver assistance and adaptive cruise control, with less than half of respondents showing interest.

Another AAA study revealed troubling findings about the reliability of these systems. It is shocking that only one of 40 tests of automatic braking systems while reversing it ended without a crash.

In addition, half of the vehicles failed to stop for stationary pedestrians behind them, raising serious safety concerns.

For those looking forward to the age of autonomous vehicles, reality may still be a long way off. Major players such as Cruise division of General Motors have faced significant security challenges, while Waymo by Google remains one of the few companies actively pursuing the development of self-driving technology.

Although the Waymo has expanded the robotaxi service in los angeleswidespread integration into everyday passenger vehicles is still years away, highlighting the significant hurdles ahead in realizing the vision of fully autonomous transportation.
