THE JLR is moving into a new era and does not hide, at least the main axes, of its future plans. For example, it had already announced – some time ago – that it has a purely electric model in the works Range Rover.

The color selected for the prototype is black and many details are borrowed from the corresponding gasoline model that was first presented in 2022.
Another leaked item is that the new electric SUV will have a conventional traction control system based on ABS, which will, however, electronically intervenes separately on each wheel.
In addition, we know that the electrical system will follow the 800 V structure for very fast charging of the battery. As for the performance, JLR says that it will have the same performance as the V8 version of 520 hp from the two electric motors.
“To ensure we leave no stone unturned, we’ve started well with our physical testing and development programme, all designed to push the Range Rover Electric to its limits to ensure its capability remains unmatched when it reaches you,” said the company’s chief engineer, Thomas Mueller.
The new electric Range Rover will be manufactured at the Solihull plant in Britain and is expected to be presented in its final form after the summer of 2024. Already the company has received 16,000 requests for interest in the model.
