Offering a customer benefit of up to €3,200, Alfa Romeo makes the smallest SUV in its range so far, the Tonale in all its versions, more attractive than ever.

With the model’s introductory price now at €39,500 (Hybrid 130 ps) in Sprint trim level, the smallest SUV in Alfa Romeo’s range at this time (and until the arrival of the Junior) becomes more accessible to a wider buying public. It is worth noting that the Hybrid 160 HP version is available for just 1,000 euros more (from €40,500).

In the latter, pastels and metallic colors – except green – have a zero charge. All of the above is combined with a 4-year warranty or 160,000 km for mechanical parts, while roadside assistance is also offered for four years. Accordingly, the retail price for the 280 HP Plug-in Hybrid Q4 version in the Sprint trim level starts at 49,635 euros.

It should be noted that the Tonale PHEV Q4 Sprint as a company car does not burden its user with tax, as it has a Retail Price Before Taxes below 40,000 euros and CO2 emissions below 50 g/km. In addition, all Tonale PHEV Q4s have enhanced tax depreciation rates and their lease costs are deductible in addition to gross business income.

The standard equipment is more than rich since it includes, among other things, a 12.3″ digital instrument panel and a 10.25″ infotainment screen with navigation, front-rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, electrically adjustable lumbar support in the driver’s seat, keyless entry system , automatic dual-zone air conditioning with air quality sensor, wireless mobile phone charging base, active cruise control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and aluminum pedals.

For the external appearance, the most characteristic points are the glossy black body kit, the 18″ aluminum wheels with a diamond finish and the active 3+3 Full LED Matrix headlights. The latter not only have an excellent performance but also sign the identity of the impressive body designed by Alexandros Liokis.

Refinement and dynamism are key features in the cabin as well, with quality materials and high digital technology standing out. The sporty driving position fully supports the best dynamic characteristics of the C-SUV category, while the available passenger space and up to 500 lt for luggage more than cover family needs.

The Veloce trim level adds leather seats, the front of which are electrically heated and ventilated, a heated steering wheel, suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, red Brembo brake calipers, aluminum paddles on the steering wheel for manual gear changes, tinted rear windows and 19” aluminum wheels.

In the powerful Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4, a turbo gasoline engine with a mild hybrid system and a power of 180 HP moves the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission, while an electric one with 122 HP drives the rear. Ensuring a maximum combined output of 280 HP and 0-100 km/h in just 6.2”, the hybrid system perfectly matches the dynamic characteristics of the car and ensures pure electric operation of up to 69 km in mixed use and up to 82 km in an urban environment.

The hybrid system of the 130 and 160 HP versions includes a gasoline engine and a 48V electrical circuit with a 20 HP electric motor, which is matched to the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This feature enables pure electric drive under low load requirements, which drastically reduces gasoline consumption. In the 160 HP version, the variable geometry turbo (VGT) completes the top technology.

It should be noted that the high-voltage battery in the Tonale PHEV is covered for 8 years and that through the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) digital certificate, the car’s usage and maintenance history – as in every Alfa Romeo – is recorded in a completely immutable way, shielding the its resale value.
