Citizens are in despair as they see their tax liabilities increasing day by day.

Over 2.1 million taxpayers targeted by the tax authorities risk having their bank accounts and assets seized due to debts to the State.

Enforcement measures have already been taken against 1.5 million taxpayers.

At the same time, they are revealing the new data on overdue debts.

Specifically, only in February the taxpayers’ fees to the Tax Office exceeded 1.025 billion euros, while the total overdue debt broke the barrier of 107.18 billion euros. According to alpha, the actual overdue debt should be limited to 80.85 billion euros as the remaining 26.3 billion euros are considered uncollectible.
