Saturday Book Walk in the center of Athens in the Athenian districts and throughout Greece organized by the Hellenic Book Association.
As part of the Book Day, tomorrow Saturday, the established Book Walk takes place, in which public and municipal libraries, bookstores and publishing houses participate.
The Book Walk, with a history of nine years, has established itself as the bibliophile walk that gives readers and book lovers the opportunity to attend interesting events, meet favorite authors, participate in events, feel a different experience from their contact with the book and find each other.
Commemorative bookmarks, Faber pencils and ‘read & change’ posters will be handed out to book lovers, placed in a stylish bag with the campaign’s logo.
A book walk
The Athenian Walk passes through bookstores, publishing houses and libraries, both in the center and in the periphery of Attica, with the events covering the entire spectrum of the day to the evening hours.

The Library of the Parliament opens its doors and welcomes the public to its work and storage areas for its precious and rare treasures, while at the same time the Library of the Parliament, with its sections housed in the former Public Tobacco Factory, participates in the event, as does the Gennadius Library with guided tours of the space, its collections and services.
In an initiative of the highest symbolic importance, the building of the Hellenic Parliament will be illuminated with the logo of the action, giving the message that books and reading are the basis of education and democracy.
In Thessaloniki, Veria, Volos, Delphi, Karpenisi, Krya Vrysi, Lefkada, Megara, Messolongi, Moudania, Orestiada, Orchomenos, Pyrgos, Serres, Soufli, Farsala and Chania also organizes book events with well-known and beloved prose writers, poets and translators, who will welcome the public.
