THE Vladimir Putin bid him farewell Mikhail Gorbachev at the Central Moscow Clinic, leaving flowers on his coffin, before his trip to Kaliningrad, said the press representative of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.
“The president went to the Kaliningrad region today on business, but before leaving, he headed to the Central Clinic and said goodbye to Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev, laying flowers on the coffin”Peskov told reporters.
He also noted that the exit sequence will take place on September 3but Putin’s work schedule and commitments will not allow him to attend on that day.
The last president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev died on August 30, aged 91, after a serious and prolonged illness. Access to the farewell ceremony, which will take place on September 3 in central Moscow, will be free for the public.
