The activity of the Houthis and their attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden against international shipping was particularly intense yesterday.

According to a statement from the US CENTCOM command, yesterday April 24 at 11:51 (Sanaa time) a Coalition ship successfully intercepted an ASBM (Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile) launched from areas controlled by the Houthis supported by Iran.

According to the same source, the ASBM probably targeted the MV Yorktown, a US-owned and operated US-flagged ship with 18 crew members, including four Greeks. No injuries or damage were reported to US, coalition, or merchant ships being protected in the area.

In a separate incident between 12:07 and 13:26 US ships engaged and destroyed four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.
