Unbelievable and yet it happened! The most failed escape in history took place in Venezuela when prisoners dug tunnels, scaled prison walls and ran into a group of 30 police officers who were exercising just outside the penitentiary.

In the video in which the failed escape was recorded, some of the total 20 prisoners who took part in it can be seen coming out of the tunnel and realizing their mistake.

According to the Daily Mail, the prisoners’ miscalculation led them to dig the tunnel towards the training area at the police headquarters in the Venezuelan city of Maracaibo.

Despite the fact that the 30 officers were unarmed, an official statement said that “everything was brought under control” with three of the prisoners slightly injured when they tried to escape.
