Once again, the activity of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas, is absent from the central news bulletin of ERT. Today, this silence related to his visit to Canada and his meetings there with institutions and representatives of the diaspora. Obviously, these activities are indifferent to the central news bulletin of ERT, something which is not only directed against the KKE but in this case also against the Greek diaspora. Of course, it is completely irrelevant what they value as “news” on ERT.
The issue here, however, is their obligation to objectively cover the activities of the parties and political leaders and not with selective “against them” reports. It is obvious that the central news bulletin of ERT chooses to overpromote the government and its convenient confrontation with SYRIZA and PASOK and takes the lead in silencing the activity of the KKE and its General Secretary, many times even surpassing the attitude of the private channels.
These phenomena, in the midst of a pre-election period that is also governed by specific electoral legislation regarding the promotion of parties, will not be tolerated.
