Two helicopters of its naval aviation Malaysia clashed today with a result to lose their lives ten members of their crews during a training flight in the western part of the Malay Peninsula.
“The two helicopters collided during a training flight. The death of 10 victims was confirmed by the medical corps of the armed forces”, said Suhaimi Mohammad Suhail, an official of the Fire and Rescue Service, according to a press release from the service.

According to reports, one of the helicopters hit the other’s rotor and then both crashed.
The incident took place in the Malaysian city of Lumut, where a naval base is located. One of the helicopters, a HOM M503-3 with seven on board, believed to have crashed on a running track.

The other, a Fennec M502-6 carrying the other three victims, crashed into a nearby pool.
The state fire and rescue department said it was alerted to the incident at 09:50 local time.
