The vast majority of Muslim students in Germany considers the rules of the Koran more important than the laws of the state, while almost one in two believes that the best form of state is that of the Islamic theocratic system.
According to his research Institute of Criminal Investigation of Lower Saxony (KFN), 67.8% of Muslim students attending German schools say that “the rules of the Koran are more important than the Constitution and laws” of the German state.
Furthermore, 51.5% consider that “only Islam is able to provide solutions to the problems of our time” and 45.8% that “an Islamic theocratic system is the best polity». 36.5% say German society would be stronger if Islamic rules were implemented and 35.3% express understanding for violence against people who insult Allah or Muhammad.
At the same time, 21.25% justifies Islamist violence in the West, as long as Islam is threatened, while 18.1% consider even the use of violence to spread and impose Islam justified.
Reactions
The findings of the investigation also caused the reaction of the parties. Christian Democratic Party (CDU) domestic affairs officer Christoph de Vries told BILD that “the survey shows how deep political Islam has reached in Germany” and even spoke of “systematic indoctrination” in the workplace.
“Multiculturalism has long since failed. Clarity and consistency are now required if we want to stop the onslaught of bigots,” he added, while Schleswig-Holstein’s education minister and CDU vice-president Karin Prien expressed her concern over the results of the survey and placed the blame “on families, on schools, in the state centers for political education and of course in the youth of the communities around the mosques”.
On the teachers’ side, the president of the Federation of Teachers, Stefan Dull, spoke of “disturbing results” and stressed the need for “more education in democracy and the rules of the Constitution”. Islamism “must stop and there must be zero tolerance for it”, he added, also in his statements to BILD.
According to the newspaper, the biggest problem of Islamization in schools is found in North Rhine-Westphaliawith the most typical being the case of three students in a school in Neuss, who demanded the observance of Sharia rules by their classmates, but also the separation of boys and girls in the classrooms.
