The Russian military hit a television tower in Kharkiv, which housed Ukrainian air defense communication systems, Nikolaev underground coordinator Sergei Lebedev told RIA Novosti, citing information from his colleagues.
“At 16:36, a television tower in Kharkiv, which is located on Derevyanko Street, was cut into a third, there was an air defense communication antenna,” said his interlocutor.
According to the head of the Kharkiv regional military command, Oleg Sinegubov, after the attack “on a TV infrastructure facility”, there were interruptions in the digital TV signal.
Footage posted on Telegram channels reportedly shows smoke coming from an unknown major infrastructure site.
A separate image published by a war blogging channel appears to show the city’s TV tower destroyed.
