A car ran over citizens in Jerusalem – The authorities are talking about a “terrorist attack”.

Three people were slightly injured when a car ran over them in Jerusalem on Monday morning, authorities said, as a manhunt was launched for the attackers.

The attackers, after luring the pedestrians away, tried to open fire with a submachine gun, but eventually threw away the weapon as they fled into the Roma district, authorities say, describing the incident as a terrorist attack.

The first aid service said it treated two people who were hit by the same car, first on Tchelet Mordechai Street and on nearby Yirmiyahu Street in the Romema district. Both were in good condition. A third person also suffered minor injuries, police said.

Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem said it was treating a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy with minor injuries.
