Luana Andrade, the influencer and former reality star, died tragically after a failed liposuction on her knee, at just 29 years old.
The young woman underwent knee liposuction surgery on Monday at Sao Luiz Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In fact, as reported by the New York Post, citing Globo 1, the influencer’s family had hired a private surgeon and anesthesiologist.
Two hours after the operation, Andrade experienced trouble breathing and went into cardiac arrest.
He immediately underwent tests, which showed that he had suffered a blood clot.
He was immediately taken to the ICU but a few hours later, he died.
The influencer’s official cause of death was a pulmonary embolism.
Participated in the reality show “Power Couple Brasil”
Luana Andrade rose to fame after participating in the reality show Power Couple Brasil in 2022 with her boyfriend and businessman, Joao Haddad.
She was also a model and had launched her own clothing brand.
She had over 500,000 followers on Instagram, with whom she shared moments from her travels as well as from her everyday life.
Five days before he died, he uploaded a video highlighting the past year and wrote: “2023 isn’t over yet and I already feel so grateful.”
Friends and followers are devastated
Andrade’s friends and followers are devastated.
“I’m broke and living my worst nightmare,” her partner wrote on Instagram. “A piece of me was lost. With great sadness and much pain in my heart I say goodbye to my Luana, my princess, the beautiful one.
Two years passed by your side and I have no words to express how happy I was… We built beautiful moments and vividly lived our dreams. You are more than a friend and you will always be my partner, my love,” she wrote.
