Convoy carrying Palestinian Authority head reportedly hit by gunfire in West Bank Mahmoud Abbasas reported by Turkish media, at noon on Tuesday.
According to the same information, the organization has taken responsibility for the attack “Children of Abu Jandal”. The organization in question had reportedly given Abbas 24 hours to take action in Gaza and act against Israel.
The Turkish media also show video of the attack.
According to CNN Turk, and as seen in the video below, at least one person has been shot as a result of the attack on the motorcade.
So far, there is no statement regarding Mahmoud Abbas’ health status.

What is the organization?
The organization called “Children of Abu Jandal” claims to be made up of members of the Palestinian group Fatah.
It is named after Yousef Ahmed Raihan, a Palestinian Authority officer who led the fight to defend the Jenin refugee camp in April 2002.
Raihan’s nickname was Abu Jandal and the battle of Jenin was fought under his leadership along with Mahmoud Tawalbeh.
Hundreds of Palestinians were killed and injured in the Israeli invasion of the Jenin refugee camp during the second Intifada in 2002.
