Passionate relationship in prison

A nurse is being investigated over allegations she had an affair with an inmate at one of Britain’s top security prisons, MailOnline can reveal today.

Alexandra Power has been removed from work at HMP Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire while the investigation is carried out. She is accused of starting a relationship with Jay Bell, who had been jailed for ten months for road rage.

It is not the first romantic adventure for the prisoner, as before the nurse he had a relationship with a correctional officer. Bell had been assigned a job near the prison entrance where Power was working as a temporary nurse.

It is worth noting that the charming nurse already had a relationship and is a mother of two children. But the prisoner also has a relationship and is also the father of two children.

But it appears their attraction was not temporary, as the report says Bell was released a few weeks ago and is rumored to be living with Ms Power in Milton Keynes.

The 31-year-old described what had been heard about their relationship as a “false allegation”, but refused to comment further. It appears she has only been working as a nurse for a year and has previously trained as a beauty technician.

He was working in prison for the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, where he launched an internal investigation.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Trust confirmed: “We have been made aware of an allegation involving a temporary worker, which we are investigating. While this investigation is ongoing, the member of staff has been asked not to attend the service area where they normally work. We should emphasize that this is a neutral action to allow a full investigation to take place. We are unable to comment further on such matters while they are taking place.”

Two years ago Bell was one of three inmates at The Mount Jail in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, who had sex with a prison officer. Sarah Milburn, 33, was sentenced to 16 months in prison in 2021 after pleading guilty to three counts of misconduct in public office.

Why did Bell go to prison?

Bell was jailed after he was filmed threatening two motorcyclists with a hammer in a violent rampage in London, in which he screamed: “I’m going to pick you up”. He later hit one of them on the head.

A source said: “Alex hasn’t been a nurse for long, she only completed her training about a year ago. She is very glamorous and was naturally popular with men. Jay had a job at the prison working the entrance where the new inmates come in and Alex was nearby. That’s how they met earlier this year. “It was common knowledge around the place that they were ‘stuck’. Jay was released in September and they are now living together.”
