An incredible incident was experienced by a group of women who met after a while, while renting Airbnb and was invaded by a swarm of batswhich bit them and turned their evening into a night of terror.
Insider reports that the incident took place in five-bedroom Victorian-style house known as a ‘castle’ and is located in Michigan, USA. There, a group of women wanted to spend a few days, as they were celebrating their 50th high school reunion.
The first few nights went smoothly, but on the evening of July 26 they discovered bats inside the house, which began “pouring out of the attic into the bedrooms and the hallway.”
THE group tried to leave the house but found the staircase ‘full of bats’, so he was forced to lock himself in the bedrooms. At the same time, he tried to block the doors with towels and pillows, but the bats they passed through the old walls and gaps in the boards. So the women hid under the sheets, but bats managed to bite some of them, while one got tangled in one woman’s hair.
“It was a house of horrors, we were bitten and thrown everywhere,” they reportedly said in the lawsuit they eventually filed against the owner. “The bats were flying upstairs and in the stairwells, so we couldn’t leave the house. The host did not answer our 11 calls during our scary bat night,” they reportedly added afterward
As soon as it was dawn they got up and left the house, while they went to the hospital and they did rabies shots. Yes, they called an exterminatorwho reportedly found a “whole colony of brown bats” in the attic.
Now, they are taking the owner to court, with him admitting the fact, but noting that it happened differently. Specifically, he claims he offered to compensate the women, while the exterminator reportedly found a bat and not a “large colony” in the attic.
