Strong bad weather swept on Tuesday 31/10 a large part of northern Italy, causing Lake Como to overflow. In Milan, a heavy downpour caused the suspension of metro line “three” and city bus routes, while the tributary Seveso overflowed.
In Venice, the effects of the tidal phenomenon were limited thanks to the artificial barriers of the “Mose” system, which were erected to protect Galinotati during the night.

Bad weather in the Emilia Romagna region caused the partial collapse of two bridges outside the cities of Parma and Piacenza. The rushing waters reportedly swept away a man, who had just left his home. In the wider area of Piacenza, around 20 flooded houses were evacuated.
According to the forecasts of meteorologists, the bad weather in Italy will continue for the next ten days.
