Shocking video from Kosovo: Nurse slaps and mocks elderly woman in nursing home

The shocking moment an elderly woman in a nursing home in Kosovo was repeatedly slapped by a nurse was caught on camera.

In the footage shared on social media, the worker holds the hands of the elderly woman and slaps her several times.

Two other women can be seen in the video and another is filming it, who can be heard laughing loudly as her colleague attacks the elderly woman.

The nurse is heard saying “just a little slap, as I know, a little kick,” according to the Albanian Daily News.

The elderly woman appears to be in serious distress as she is assaulted by the employee.

Following the incident, the nurse and a domestic worker were arrested. The housekeeper was arrested for not reporting the attack to the police.

In a statement, the Kosovo Police said that based on footage circulating on social media, officers located the location at around 2.10pm. yesterday and arrested two suspects.

They stated: “The suspects are being examined by the police department’s investigators and further action will be taken in full coordination with the prosecutor.”

Reacting to the incident, Xhelal Svecla, Kosovo’s interior minister, said the acts are even more serious when they occur in an environment that should offer help and care.

Svecla demanded that all those involved be brought to justice.
