Kosovo society has been shocked by the release of an incredibly cruel video showing a nurse beating an elderly woman in a nursing home.
As reported by Kosovo media, the incident took place a few days ago in a private nursing home in the city of Peja.
The Police of Kosovo proceeded to arrest the nurse who is seen in the video hitting the defenseless elderly woman on the head.
The Kosovar Member of Parliament, Haki Abazi, condemned the act of the nurse in his post. “Violence must be condemned and dealt with seriously. The footage of the elderly mother being beaten in the nursing home in Peya is a picture of madness and those who watched and laughed at this madness are equally guilty. Our society needs to address this phenomenon of violence both from a mental health point of view and through the law,” commented Abazi.
