“I can’t stand the damn thing!”, he is heard saying on video
King Charles was annoyed by a pen leaking ink during a visit to Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.
Charles, along with his royal wife, Camilla, was invited to a reception at the castle where he met with members of the Northern Ireland assembly.
When he sat down to sign the guest book towards the end of the visit, King Charles realized he had first written the wrong date and then complained about the pen he was using, with Camilla adding that it dripped “everywhere”.
In the related video, Karolos can be seen sitting at a desk and visibly irritated in his attempt to sign the book, as the ink began to drip from the pen he was holding.
“God, I hate this pen,” he is heard saying. “I can’t stand the damn thing, it stinks!” he added.
Predictably, the pen was quickly disappeared by a royal aide before Camilla sat down to sign the book as well.
