The Witch – Maria Kitsou: “A descendant tries to find answers for a gift that may ultimately be a curse”

The finale of the series, The Witch, may have received mixed reviews, the prequel with Maria Kitsou is certainly promising.

In the new season we will see the series again but under the title The Witch: Burning Heart and will make reference to the Venetian occupation.

Maria Kitsou, through her personal Instagram account, published a photo of her own role and gives a little hint of what will happen.

“Just as day coexists with night… love with hate… good with evil… so for every Cypriot, there will always be a Theophano.

And this chain will never be broken… We will meet it from the beginning… until the end of the world.

At the beginning of this chain, is the next trip. In the distant 1710, in Venetian-occupied Mani.

There, where these two forces were created and collided for the first time.

A conflict that left indelible marks on the generations that followed.

The same chain will lead us all the way to 1910…where a descendant tries to find the answers to a gift that may ultimately be a curse.

But will this be the end of the journey?

Does this journey ever really stop?’
