“Heavy” fines were imposed by the ESR on Alpha for Tatiana Stefanidou’s show and at Mega for the show of Nikos Evagelatos about the way they covered a case that occupied the current affairs, but for competitions that ran last year in March and June.
According to e-tetradio.gr, the Mega for the “Live News” was punished by the Radio and Television Council with two fines, one of 20 thousand euros for “insulting the moral and intellectual development of minors” and another of 20 thousand euros for “showing a program that could mislead the public as to the chances of winning the offered prizes” .
Alpha was also punished for the exact same violations “T-live” with 15 thousand euros for the first and 20 thousand euros for the second.
It is worth noting that with fines amounting to 75,000 euros, the National Radio and Television Council recently punished Alpha and Tatiana Stefanidou for the problematic way in which they managed the case of the 12-year-old girl from Colonos on the show “T-live” in 2022.
