Takis Papamathaiou: I refused the role that Dimitra Papadopoulou had suggested to me for The Unacceptable

Guest on his show Grigoris Arnautoglou “The 2Night Show» Takis Papamattheiou. The beloved actor he talked about his professional career but also about his childhood.

He first explained what made him take a step back from his serial appearances.

“For a decade I only appeared in guest roles on television. Circumstances have changed, we get paid every six months and the cashiers have dropped, that made me withdraw».

“Dimitra Papadopoulou had offered me to play in Unacceptable but I refused and the role was taken by Vlassis Bonatsos. I had signed with Giorgos Constantinou, it’s not my character to do tricks».

Then, in more personal confessions, he delved into the relationship with his biological father and the emotional void he left in his life. He feels himself a good father;

“First time he decided to see me when I was 14 years old. And later while I didn’t need him financially or anything and while I had a very good stepfather, I always missed my father. The first recognition the child wants is from the parent».

“I tried to be a good father to Jason, of course I have made mistakes too, there is always the best, maybe I wasn’t the perfect father».
