The National Meteorological Service has issued an emergency bulletin for worsening weather. The cold front, unsettled air masses and high instability indices will cause locally severe conditions today, Friday 2 September, mainly in Macedoniathe Ionian Sea, Epirus and Thessaly.

At the same time, the clouds are expected to be dense at times, while the winds will blow from southerly directions up to 3 Beaufort.
Dust concentrations in the atmosphere will be relatively high. The temperature in the center of Thessaloniki will range from 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.
In more detail in the territory, local rains and sporadic storms are initially expected in the mountains of Macedonia, in Eastern Thessaly and in the Northern Ionian, phenomena which will gradually extend to the rest of the central and northern continents but also in places to the rest of the continents, the Ionian, Crete and in the North and East Aegean. There is a chance of hailstorms in the afternoon and afternoon mainly in the northern continental areas. Dust concentrations in the atmosphere will be relatively high.
The temperature in Western Macedonia will range from 16 to 27 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 20 to 33, in Thessaly from 20 to 24, in Epirus from 17 to 30, in Sterea from 20 to 33, in the Peloponnese from 17 to 34, in the Ionian Islands from 20 to 28, in the Northern Aegean Islands from 22 to 30, in the Eastern Aegean Islands from 21 to 33, in the Cyclades from 20 to 31, in the Dodecanese from 24 to 30 and in Crete from 18 up to 33 degrees Celsius.
Winds in the Central and Northern Aegean will initially blow from north directions 2 to 4 Beaufort, but from the afternoon they will change to 3 Beaufort. In the South Aegean the winds will blow from west directions 2 to 4 and locally up to 5 Beaufort. In the Ionian the winds will blow from changing directions up to 3 Beaufort, but from noon they will become northwesterly 2 to 4 and locally up to 5 Beaufort.
Local cloudiness is expected in Attica, which will be increased in the afternoon and afternoon and there will be local rains and possibly storms, mainly in the mountainous areas of the prefecture. Winds will blow from variable directions up to 2 Beaufort, but in the afternoon and afternoon they will temporarily become southerly up to 3 Beaufort.
