The investigative process for the case of the children in Patras began today, Thursday, with their 33-year-old mother accused.
Her testimony lasted three and a half hours medical examiner Christina Tsakona which had drawn the conclusion of liver failure for the defendant’s 3.5-year-old daughter. She reportedly insists on the correctness of her results, clarifying however that liver failure can also be due to a lack of oxygen.
The second witness who testified today is the pathologist Christos Eftychiadis who had conducted the review of the histological data of the two girls. In fact, the results obtained from it are included in the medical examiner’s report Karakouki and Kalogria which was instrumental in the criminal prosecution for manslaughter, in a calm state of mind, serially, for the deaths of the two young children. It should be noted that the two medical examiners are expected to testify before the investigating officer tomorrow.
