Student accommodation: ‘Fire’ rent increases – Up to 26% over 2021

€280/month to €400/month, while a 50 sq.m-60 sq.m residence from 340 euros/month to 460 euros/month.

In the Rotonda area, the requested rent for a 30sqm-40sqm residence ranges from 320€/month to 500€/month, compared to 280€/month to 400€/month last year, recording an increase of 14.28% in the minimum price and by 25% on the highest price.

An increase of 20% in the lowest price and 14.58% in the highest price is also recorded in the requested residential rent of 50 sq.m. – 60 sq.m., where it now ranges from 360 euros/month to 550 euros/month.

Where are the rents in Patras?

In Patras, where it has been around for ages student town, the asking rental prices for studios and two-room apartments are recording a rapid increase in all areas, especially at the highest rental price. A large part of the students studying at the University of Patras, choose
mainly the area of ​​Agia Sophia, Fire Department and El. Stratiotou.

In Psila Alonia, an increase in the requested rent is recorded by 38.8% compared to 2021. Increasing trends are also recorded in the requested rent for a 30sqm-45sqm residence where in 2021 the rental cost was from €170/month to €350/month and this year year ranges from €220/month to €550/month, recording an increase in the lowest price by 29.4% and in the highest price by 42.8%. At the same time, for a 50sqm-60sqm residence in the same area, the requested rent ranges from 300€/month to 450€/month if it is a renovated or newly built residence, when in 2021 the requested rent was from 250€/month to 380€/month . The asking rent increase ranges from 20% at the lowest price to 18.4% at the highest price.

The rents in Heraklion

In Heraklion, the asking prices for a house up to 25 square meters register an increase from 5.8% to 28%, ranging from €180/month to €320/month if it is a fully renovated or newly built house, furnished and with all household appliances. Homes from 30m2 to 40m2 range from €220/month to €380/month, recording an increase compared to last year from 10% to 26.6% in the upper price. In addition, the 50sqm-60sqm residences recorded an increase in the lowest price of 21.4% and the highest price of 20%, with the requested rent ranging from €340/month to €600/month.

The rental prices for Chios

In Chios, the cost of renting a student residence of up to 25 sqm varies from €300/month to €350/month if it is a renovated, furnished and fully equipped apartment, recording an increase in the lowest price by 20% and in the highest price by 25% . The same apartment last year was rented from €250/month to €280/month. The rent for a 30sqm-45sqm residence this year ranges from €230/month to €350/month if it is a renovated, furnished and fully equipped apartment, while the requested rent for a 50sqm-60sqm residence is from €320/month up to €350/month, compared to €280/month up to €350/month last year.

“Don’t forget that the cost of housing is not only the cost of renting the residence, but the
