The price of contracts for the delivery of natural gas to Europe (TTF) fell this morning by more than 6%
The consumption natural gas
is already declining by double-digit rates in European Unionaccording to Citigroup and this reduction, combined with the rapid filling of warehouses lead to lower prices in Europe for the fourth day in a row.
The price of contracts for the delivery of natural gas in Europe (TTF) fell this morning by more than 6% to 223.5 euros per megawatt hour, while a little while ago it was at 239 euros, with a 1.7% drop compared to yesterday’s close.
Prices are down over 30% from last week, when they had jumped to levels above 300 euros per megawatt hour.
EU gas storage tanks have been filled two months ahead of schedule, somewhat offsetting the risk of keeping Russian gas flows to a minimum after three days of maintenance on the Nord Stream pipeline started yesterday.
