In Evelpidon, 31 of the 67 arrested for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis have been pardoned since the morning. The case is handled by five investigators, while criminal proceedings have been brought against the 67 arrested for 28 offences, 12 of which are felonies.
Earlier, the 16-year-old brother of the 18-year-old who has been remanded in custody for the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis was released after his apology, with the conditions of mandatory appearance at a police station and a ban on watching sports matches. Another defendant apologized and was released with restrictive conditions.
Apologies continue for the remaining 29 who are scheduled to plead today before three investigators.
Among the 29 pardoned are some of the alleged leading members of the criminal organization.
Some have the address while most have the membership in the criminal organization. According to information, most of them are expected to deny either that they directed or that they participated in the criminal organization with the following incidents that counts at least five years of activity from 2019 to the present day.
The remaining 33 of the 67 will plead tomorrow before three investigators.
It is noted that yesterday the first 10 defendants who face offenses for the supply, possession and trafficking of narcotics crossed the threshold of Evelpidon Street. The three face only drug offenses and were remanded in custody after their apologies. The remaining 7 were released with restrictive conditions, however they are being held because they also face the charge of participating in a criminal organization and are expected to plead guilty either today or tomorrow for this basic offense as well.
