The 990-horsepower car driven by a 31-year-old man on Kanellopoulou Avenue in Elefsina turned into a shapeless mass when he lost control and, running at almost 100 km/h, ended up on top of a parked truck.
The 31-year-old driver, who recently became a father, is pulled out dead, the 25-year-old passenger is having fun.
The 31-year-old’s father picks up the phone and learns that his son had a car accident. Reaching the point, he loses the ground under his feet. “I came and saw the child dead,” said his father.
With white roses in their hands, the relatives of the 31-year-old stand where he breathed his last. “This is the hospital. How long did it take for them to come and get the man?”, adds his cousin.
“Are you allowed to park here? We are human, we can make mistakes and such. He may have run, he may not, we don’t know that. Where it’s (truck) parked I don’t foresee it should be.”
