The “lord of the rings” did his… miracle again! The great Lefteris Petrounias with a sensational performance in the final won the gold medal at the European Gymnastics Championships held in Rimini, Italy.

The Greek champion once again showed his class and amply proved that he is the top athlete in hoops. With a sensational performance, which gave him 15,000 points in the standings, he climbed to the top step of the podium and became European champion for the seventh time!

A historic success for Lefteris Petrounias, who with the gold medal he got in Rimini surpassed the legendary Hungarian Christian Berki, with our compatriot now the only athlete in history to have seven titles in the same instrument!

It is worth noting that the 33-year-old champion in his career has won a total of nine medals in the event, with seven, as mentioned above, being gold and two bronze. A true legend of gymnastics and world sports.
