The road to prison was taken by 3 of the 10 defendants who apologized to the 4th investigator today.

At prison they were led away after their apologies three out of ten total defendants arrested as part of the major investigation into the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis.

The remaining seven were released with restrictive conditions. According to the protothema, of the 10 defendants who crossed the threshold of the investigation today only the three faced drug-only charges.

Therefore, the 7 who are also facing charges for the criminal organization of the hooligans will be brought to court again in Weekend.

On Saturday, the apologies of the 67 arrested

The defendants in the case of a criminal organization of fans, members of which are involved in the fatal attack on the police officer, will be asked to give their answer to the heavy indictment that has been drawn up against them, gradually from Saturday, before the five investigators where they have been appointed George Lyggeridis.

Criminal proceedings were brought against those arrested as well as those included in the arrest warrant and wanted, for at least 12 felonies and heaps of misdemeanors.

According to the prosecution, five defendants are burdened with a charge concerning the direction of a criminal organization, as they are attributed a leading, central role in the operation of the organization which, according to the case file, had a specific action against the background of their team’s sports activity.

Depending on the degree of involvement of each defendant, the prosecution includes, among other things, felony offenses for:

  • Formation and membership of a criminal organization.
  • Homicide during a sporting event.
  • Moral complicity in homicide during a sporting event.
  • Complicity in homicide during a sporting event
  • An explosion that also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Moral responsibility in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
  • Contributing to the explosion resulting in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Manufacture and possession of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
  • Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
  • Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
