Is it our time and the absurdities we continue to live? Is the “blind” Justice that has become a servant of a corrupt system? Are they the anarchists who keep falling out of windows?

For all these reasons and many more, his god-awful theater group “Accidental Death of an Anarchist” led by him John Kakleas continues unabated with demonic energy. Farce, slapstick and puns steeped in the present expose the incompetence and corruption and loopholes of justice.

“The Accidental Death of an Anarchist”, the show that in the last two years has become the absolute talk of the town, after its big summer tour, returns to the Gloria theater with more than 200,000 spectators, countless sold outs and many theater awards. .

The Panos Vlachos, Thodoris Skyftoulis, Costas Maglaras, Phoivos Rimenas, Ifigenia Asteriadis and Stelios Petsos they introduce us to his caustic and denunciatory universe Dario Fo with live music, songs and above all with humor parodying in a unique way ours today.

The play:

Dario Fo, the great Italian playwright who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997, is noted for his sharp irreverence and bold theatrical approach.

“The Accidental Death of an Anarchist” stands out for its groundbreaking writing, rousing humor and provocative social commentary. Based on real events, the play is a masterfully farcical and denunciatory satire on violence, idiocy, arbitrariness of power and political corruption.

Dario Fo manages to “uncover” the murder of the “anarchist railwayman” Giuseppe Pinelli committed by the Italian police. In a satirical and ironic way, he denounces the tragic event, criticizes the abuse of power and criticizes the unseemly power of the Italian justice system.

The themes of his play are still relevant to this day, making it a classic and suitable for both traditional and innovative theatrical approaches.

The show:

The revelatory lyrics of Panos Vlachos and his live music Vayu Prapa transform this performance into a modern theatrical revelation. A darkly comic satire that fearlessly pokes fun at the authorities and their manipulation of the truth. The rhymes of the eight outstanding actors are transformed into a powerful tool that exposes the absurdity and hypocrisy of power.

“I’m here I’m a moment,
reason for crack with price,
without price I am everywhere – free.
I have strange appetites
for words
with sharp words
I clip the wings
to liars and cheats.

I make other words lame
that cut the palms
of those who steal the matches
who put lies in the eyes
to those who laugh to deceive.

No, I’m not bloodthirsty
I want to shed light on the lie
to those who live in darkness
to those who killed with caresses

I took a breath but didn’t hold it
Look how I run
I never stopped
I found the perfect opportunity
to tell this story…

As Dario Fo says very aptly: “The play has been performed since it was written with undiminished success. Perhaps because in life bloodshed, bombs, big words and big scandals increase every now and then… Always from the same systems that organize violence and that cannot digest those who do not bow their heads.

A show that challenges the audience to face uncomfortable truths…
