A bright, digital Greece is being built in BEYOND, noted the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, opening yesterday the International Exhibition of Digital Transformation, Technology and Innovation.
He even emphasized that the exhibition is finding its way. “We are going strong, we are going with BEYOND beyond our capabilities, to meet the expectations of the citizens” he said characteristically, noting that we do not make technology for the sake of technology, but for the people, so that we gain the trust of the citizens every day, which will they see their problems solved through applications.
There is no more suitable place for BEYOND than Thessaloniki and Northern Greece, not for reasons of localization, but because this is where the strongest mobility in the digital investment sector is recorded, as stated by the Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia Thrace), Mr. Stathis Konstantinidis, noting that everyone is here: leading companies in the field of technology, young, but also experienced entrepreneurs who invest in innovation, research centers and academic institutions, technocrats and start-ups, people in ties and hoodies, who know how to operate “outside” from the box”.
It is no coincidence that this year at BEYOND we see an exhibition completely different from the previous ones, bigger, with more exhibitors, more visitors, which shows that together we can make this exhibition the largest international exhibition in South-Eastern Europe, according to the Regional Governor of Central of Macedonia, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
KEDE supports the exhibition, participates in it and more and more municipalities are taking part, said the president of KEDE, Mr. Lazaros Kyrizoglou, noting that, seeing BEYOND in its four years, he is convinced that it will consolidate and last a long time.
The distinction of Thessaloniki for the resilient and smart cities until 2030 was mentioned in turn by the deputy mayor of Technical Projects, Environment and Sustainable Mobility, Mr. Prodromos Nikiforidis, speaking of a great challenge, which the municipality will fight, because the city worth it.

BEYOND is a very good start to move forward with technology in Northern Greece, said the president of SEPE, Mrs. Panagiota Paparidou, emphasizing that BEYOND is not a Balkan exhibition, but we must create something international.
