  • Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett at Theater Of The No

The Theater Of The No, the first English-language theater in the heart of Athens, as part of its opening on April 18, presents the legendary play “Waiting for Godot” by Samuel Beckett. The direction is taken by Nikos Dionysios, leading an excellent cast of Greek and foreign actors. One of the most important works of the 20th century, a story about waiting, lost hope, tyrants and saviors. Two outcasts of the street, Estragon and Vladimir, dependent on each other, waiting for something that does not come, two passers-by Pozzo and Lucky who are connected by a relationship of power and submission, through meaningless conversations they are confronted with philosophical questions about God, life and death and the need for human contact.

They play: David Gilliam, Vassiliou Vasia, Giorgos Housakos, Anastasia Bouiaka, Sebastian Pouentes
Representations: From April 18 to May 13 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday at 8:30 p.m

  • Sevdaliza for the first time in Greece, in Gagarin

Sevdaliza for the first time live in Greece on Friday, April 26 at Gagarin! The word “unique” is too often thrown around for artists, but in Sevdaliza’s case it is indeed the reality. So much so that Madonna personally chose her to accompany her in her recent appearances in Amsterdam. From the incredibly catchy ‘Human’ which for many was their first introduction to her music, to her collaboration with Grimes on ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ and her latest hit, the sublime ‘Ride Or Die’ with Villano Antillano, Sevdaliza has a completely personal sound that is constantly evolving. But Sevdaliza’s ultimate strength is on stage. Seductive and ethereal, but also an amazon who evangelizes female empowerment, her concerts offer an experience that appeals to the senses.

Friday 26/4, 20:30
Tickets: €29 (early bird), €31, €34. Presale: more.com
Gagarin, 205 Liosion Street, Athens, Phone 21 1411 2500

  • Shades from the deep: Anna Maria Papadimitriou’s exhibition at the “Astrolabos – tank” Art Gallery

Exhibition

On Friday, April 26, the new solo exhibition of paintings by Anna Maria Papadimitriou, titled: “Shades from the deep”. What do we do with what is not visible? If through sight we see what has form, how do we see the essence behind the form? How do we give clues to the Unseen? These questions were present unconsciously when I was connected to a painting process that resembles the experience of successive dives into the depths of the Invisible. Putting aside the representation of the already visible, I chose research, improvisation, anxiety and ecstasy of the possible encounter with something unprecedented and revelatory. I have the feeling that I am exploring undefined inner landscapes on the edge of archetypal depths.” says the artist herself about her new section of works Shades of the Deep.

Exposure Time: From April 26 to June 8, 2024.
Hours: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: 12:00–16:00, 17:00–20:00. Saturday: 11:00–15:00.
