In a recital of arrogance and in statements that challenge common sense, Kyriakos Mitsotakis proceeded, in his interview with Sky, as beyond a fictitious image he presented on the part of the economy and the quality of democracy in our country, he went so far as to support, that in the tragedy of Tempe, some things could be different, in the field of communication. At the same time, he saw “an incident of great awakening” in Sunday’s murder in Agios Anargyros.
In particular, at a time when the majority of Greek society is asking for answers about this huge tragedy, about the process of excavating and digging, but also about the criminal political responsibilities of the government, the prime minister said that the opposition parties are reproducing conspiracy theories , which have no relation to reality.
In fact, once Mitsotakis has made his findings, he notes that “justice will tell us exactly what happened”. Regarding political figures, he said that “there is no indictment”.
In a question about the murder of Kyriaki outside the Police Station in Agioi Anargyrou, he did not make any self-criticism about the security he had promised to the citizens. Instead he saw that “something is changing”. Specifically, he said: “I took it with great sadness and anger. It was a punch in the stomach. Everything went wrong. It was a tragedy. But it was an incident of great awakening. Now women can talk about what they experience. Something is changing in the memory of Sunday. Women must feel that if they turn to the state, there is a structure to protect them. Every such tragedy is an opportunity to learn.”
Attack on the parties from the right of the ND
At the same time, at a time when the ruling party has a large leakage of blue-collar voters to more right-wing parties, Mitsotakis referred to the right-wing parties, saying that “everyone should think very carefully if we want parties that promote hatred and racism in parliament. The three parties with different appearances represent something extreme.” He also attacked Kyriakos Velopoulos, saying that he has made divisive statements and that he is taking advantage of people’s faith. In fact, he pointed out that there are many patriots “in circulation”.
Attack on SYRIZA and PASOK
The prime minister went so far as to reproduce the theory of the two extremes, saying that SYRIZA turns a blind eye to the extreme right. In fact, referring to the official opposition party, he noted that “some parties want to turn the elections into a referendum on the government. We pick up the gauntlet.”
Regarding Mr. Androulakis, Mitsotakis said that “he is out of place and time” and that he has used the European Parliament as a tool to present the country as an authoritarian state. “We are not the Hungary of the South,” he added.
Election pressure, celebrities and accuracy
Regarding the electoral threshold, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that it is the result of the previous European elections, while regarding the criticism regarding celebrity nominations, he said that they are few and they are successful in their field.
In fact, if he said that it is not only imported, he said that “we saw an improvement. Wages are going up, because the better the economy is doing, the more wages are going to go up.”
Regarding the possibility of the reorganization, he said that it is not something that concerns him now, while regarding Samaras and Kostas Karamanlis, he noted that he “feels them next to him, as I can’t imagine that the former president of the party, does not want the good of the SW”.
Finally, he said that Greece will not send S-300 or Patriot to Ukraine, while he said that our country is on the right side of history.
